Best Trails to Ride a Horse Near Eminence Missouri

Are you coming to Eminence to Ride your horse, but you just aren’t sure what trails to ride? Well, I asked my friends what their favorite trails to ride a horse near Eminence are and they didn’t let me down. These are their go to favorites, so if you are in for a day on the trail…pick one of these!

The Scenic Over Look

This trail goes over the hole in the wall just below the Cross Country Trail Ride. “You can go about any direction from there and it is a pretty view to boot…plus it’ll take the rough off of one real quick” – Christopher Smith

In addition, a friend seconded Chris’s pick stating, “Good riding, pretty scenery, lots of different trail choices through there and as Chris mentioned it’s a great set of trails to give one a legging up and take the rough out of one.” Thank you Danny Ray!

Alley from Eminence

This trail goes from Eminence to Alley Springs. Several of my friends recommend it and it is a favorite to hundreds I’m sure. Not only do you get to enjoy the trail ride itself, you get to hear the water flow from the side and you get to enjoy the park at Alley once you get there. Thank you Becky Sue and Joey Winger for your input! In fact, on several Cross Country Trail Ride event Monday’s there is a special ride to Alley, called Hamburger Monday.

Doc’s Mountain

According to my friend, Becky Sue, “Doc’s Mountain is an adventure, especially when you go up the mountain the way you are suppose to come down! But really is there a right or a wrong way? Always an adventure either way!” Also, thank you Misty Cain!

Seldom Scene to Jerk Tail Loop

A couple of my friends say that the loop going over seldom scene out to Jerk Tail and back with the overlook of twin rocks is their favorite. Just another place to go ride a horse near Eminence! Thank you Sara Kintzel and Barbie Hon!

Granny Smith Hollow

My good friend Danny Ray Staples (who I happened to watch grow up and mentioned earlier 🙂 ), says the trail “from C&L Saddle Shop to Granny Smith Hollow over Porphry Mountain to the Water Fall” is a great ride! In addition, thank you Lisa Rawe for mentioning Granny Smith to the Look Out as well!

Shawnee Trail Head Loop

So my friend Jacob Garrett let me know that the “trail to Shawnee crossing back and forth over the river to get there” is his favorite and with crossing the river I can totally understand why! Also, thanks to Jill Underwood and Danny Ray for mentioning Shawnee is well!

Two Rivers

Last but not least, lets not leave out the “Two Rivers Long Ride”! It’s a pretty ride for an all in, all day excursion. Thank you Linda Senft and Shelly Thomure for your input!
